Invisalign Dentist Los Angeles
Orthodontic treatment (the technical name for straightening teeth) was once viewed as a requirement for teenagers to endure that was uncomfortable and embarrassing.
Now, even adults realize the value of a great smile and 92% who have had any type of orthodontic therapy recommend it because of the resulting improved self-confidence in their career and personal lives.
Fortunately, it’s easier than ever with Invisalign’s technology, without the embarrassing contraption, uncomfortable tightening of wires, dietary restrictions, and complicated requirements for cleaning teeth.
After our experts make a 3-D image of your teeth, they will provide you with an initial set of customized aligners (like transparent mouth guards) to put over them.
Most people won’t even know you are wearing “invisible braces,” which you will change these every two weeks, gently nudging the teeth towards your optimum smile. You will return to the office every 6 to 8 weeks for a check-up by our doctors and to have the next set of aligners made, with the whole process typically taking just 9 to 15 months (traditional braces require 12 to 36 months at a significantly higher cost).
Flossing – creating a flossing routine is important during orthodontic treatment. Our orthodontic team may recommend brushing or flossing to insure good oral health.
Brushing routine – using fluoride toothpaste and a soft-bristled toothbrush are ideal for cleaning teeth. Begin brushing at a 45-degree angle at the gum line using small circular motions. Reposition the brush to brush the bottom of the arch as well as the bottom arch.
Fluoride mouthwash – after brushing and flossing, rinse with a fluoride mouthwash to help prevent cavities.
